Last Tuesday and weekend in Cornwall

Friday Night at the Last Tuesday Society masked ball with some friends. It was really good fun and a great way to let your hair down. I hasten to add though some of the more 'nude' antics took place after we left!!

Bank Holiday weekend in Cornwall with Lucy at her parent's gorgeous garden and nursery near Bodmin. I ate lots of Lucy's mum's lemon drizzle which is supposed to be for customers. We swam in the beach near Fowey and took walks. A highlight of going to Cornwall is breakfast at Fifteen at Watergate Bay not far from Newquay.

Fifteen breakfast is relaxed with stunning views over the coast. The ingredients are high quality and the home made baked beans make you never want to go back to Heinz!

Floristry Class

Yesterday evening I went to the wonderful Whole Foods floristry class with Kate and Harriet from work and Lucy. Wanda runs a fantastic class giving an example of an arrangement and then letting you create. This means the class isn't too rigid and you always feel like you have done a good job.

It's always interesting to see people's different interpretations of the arrangement. In the picture below I think ours look quite similar, but they were quite different.

Hello!

This is my new blog which I am sure will only be read by my mum, but I just thought it would be nice to have a record of some of my crafty activities and general ramblings on life.

So anyway, here are some pics of my recent activities.

Sunday flower arranging based on the arrangement I did at the WI last month. Very easy if you have a small teapot, cup and saucer or jug and a bit of oasis.

My first knitted toy, affectionately called 'ugly rabbit' and some brooches on luggage labels on a ukulele, obviously.

One of many hairbands I have made.
